Gaussian Distribution and Rain

I have a thing for Gaussian distribution since I have learned it. It makes perfect sense to me in almost any incident of life.

Rain can be considered as a uniform distribution in everyday environment. But it should be considered as a finite Gaussian distribution on cloud-scale. From that point we can conclude that Gaussian distribution can be considered as a uniform distribution on very small intervals.
So, by considering frequency differences of outputs, could we think pseudo-uniform distributions as a small part of a Gaussian distribution?
